Dr. Saurabh Kelkar

Climate Researcher
Dr. Saurabh Kelkar holds a PhD in Engineering, an MSc in Atmospheric Science, and a BSc in Physics. He is well-experienced in climate data analysis, meteorological instrumentation, scientific reporting and publication, and research-based projects and assessments.
  • Dr. Kelkar has keen attention to detail and a priority-based work ethic. He is well-experienced in programming and has the software skills required to handle large gridded datasets, statistical data analysis, and GIS analysis. He has authored and co-authored research articles in journals and proceedings, reviewed for a leading journal in Climate Risk, and presented at international conferences such as AGU, EGU, JpGU, and CORDEX.
  • Understanding the need for applied research for climate action, Dr. Kelkar is now a part of an interdisciplinary team as a Climate Researcher at the Centre for Resilience Studies of Watershed Organization Trust, an NGO and a premier institution dedicated to rural development of the villages in drought-prone regions.
